Our Story
Atelier ID Global was founded in 2017 by Michelle May and Payal Thiffault, after working together for two decades in the luxury paper and wedding markets. Our award-winning designs earned Louies and Freddys-equivalent to Academy Awards for paper folks. We were also known for our dance moves at The Rainbow Room after parties. The company twice made Inc. Magazine's 5000 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America with a little help from us we believe. Most design, marketing and communications professionals today come from the same places – traditional marketing or design without a data-driven marketing history. Our unique experience at this company provided many opportunities for “growth and development.”
We bring this unique skillset of design, marketing and business acumen together. Interestingly, in our positions we seemlessly worked for three companies at one time. Creating luxury invitation lines, scouting for emerging brands and established competitors for our multi-brand e-commerce division and developing the first GLBTQ invitation lines. We developed and maintained brand stories with product lines and projects with brands such as BRIDES Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, One King’s Lane, GILT, Wynn Hotels , Babys ‘R Us, and more.
Over the past 25 years, we have connected companies in diverse industries with new audiences with B2B and B2C growth strategies. Our unique perspectives in design, user experience and creative problem solving enable ATELIER to provide our clients with tried and true knowledge.
Trend watching, researching and by being early adopters of social media and e-commerce gave us an edge we recall and apply to new tech. We experienced what it is like to enter into the unknown. During our careers we have worked directly with editors of the finest magazines, cybersecurity companies, tech startups in Silicon Valley, women’s healthcare AI pioneers in Africa and India, a socially responsible incubator, equitable food organizations, non-profits, cultural organizations, real estate, travel and devote a great deal of time donating in-kind design work to Pet Rock Festival, stART on the Street art festival, Cirque du Noir and more.
We are also the co-founders of Juniper Rag, a marketing vehicle for contemporary fine art.
Payal Thiffault and Michelle May believe that creatives are the center of our economy and arts and culture advocacy was a goal. Elevating emerging and mid-level artists all over the world, we have build a thriving community, supporting thousands of artists and creative businesses around the world.

SUCCESS STORIES THAT MAKE US PROUD
We built brand equity for a newly funded start-up from zero presence to having a seat at the table, driving over 1.5 M in sales opportunities in one year through comprehensive paid and organic social media, helping to secure 11M in additional funding.
We enabled woman’s healthcare app using AI to reach important NGO partners with a new website. Hundreds of thousands of women in remote areas of Africa and India needed their discreet services in reproductive healthcare and advice.
We launched a social impact start-up incubator that empowers entrepreneurs to solve social, health and environmental problems with training, mentorship and community within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. With three separate target audiences, we created a dynamic video to reach their 3 global audiences, enabling them to grow rapidly.
Innovation at Work
Hired for a successful website rebuild which resulted in a full rebrand and update of all internal and external corporate materials, messaging and content. By incorporating innovative HR software with a 3rd party, we also built a technologically advanced public profile, revised out-of-date processes and business practices from the inside out. Our customer was able to build a new receptive audience and grew to attract new client that elevated their industry value. Our vision helped them scale and reach new sophisticated audiences.
As critical thinkers, we managed digital and print marketing efforts for one of the world’s biggest paper companies, with B2B omnichannel campaigns to over 200K customers across the US. At the beginning of the Covid-19 Crisis, we saw an opportunity to educate B2C customers when the pandemic stopped the world in its tracks. We assisted customers in launching their 1st ever websites and e-commerce online sales and order pick-ups when we predicted isolation and tragic sales for them (and for us). This in turn created an unprecedented outpouring of loyalty. Our foresight and creative thinking to develop this program solidified trust and enabled our clients to thrive beyond imagination. Many of their B2C customers, reinvented their business models as a result.
