Worcester Public Market
A laid-back traveler who visits public markets around the world sees potential in his very own neighborhood.
So, he formed a team and built one.
“I contracted with Michelle and Payal of Atelier ID Global to handle identity and branding matters for the Worcester Public Market project when we were first developing our concept. They proved to be extremely helpful all along our path from initial strategic thinking to logo and website design. They were insightful in conception and efficient with their time, and their good work has served us well. In addition, they have proven themselves to be long-term fans of our project, which has benefited us in myriad and diverse ways. I recommend them without hesitation.”

Allen Fletcher, who calls The Canal District home approached us with his project. Not just any project, but turning a dirt parking lot into a hub for his neighborhood. We were just founding Atelier and quickly got our ducks in a row so that we could pitch Allen our ideas for the project he had described. As travelers, we too were excited and passionate about the project. A public marketplace with smart apartments above, touting super quick internet and all the modern accoutrements of city center living, complete with mail room and bike storage, a rooftop patio and the benefits of being 2 minutes from I-290 and the Pike. Location, walkability and the idea of placemaking to further build community in the neighborhood.
The Worcester Public Market is now a multi-restaurant, food-oriented marketplace in the European tradition, featuring street-oriented business, a small-merchant market floor, the foodie-heaven of Market Pantry, and a vibrant dining room with a seamless connection to the social and gustatory pleasures of the Wachusett Brew Yard.
Located in Worcester’s resurgent Canal District, the market sits right on legendary Kelley Square— a world away from the ordinary. Parking is abundant, and street life abounds.
Our project began as branding for Worcester Public Market and moved on to website, signage and way finding, as well as collateral and other projects like preparing maps, advertisements and print items for the grand opening. Allen went on to hire us for the Kelley Square Lofts branding, website and collateral and also for The Market Pantry’s branding, and with so much growth, a new website will be coming soon.
In spring of 2024, we decided that an updated website was in order to fit what has matured into The Worcester Public Market with incredible desserts aisle down the center and chefs from all regions of the world represented around the building.
